Here were are, yet again. Third time’s a charm, I suppose. I found another video to be forever cemented in the “Nerf Don’t Try This At Home” legacy. This time, it comes to us from YouTube, where most good things do. Anyways, I saw a guy over there take an innocent old Nerf MEGA RotoFury and turn it …sinister. He did bad things to it. And it involves Nerf MEGA Darts and high voltage electricity. Take a look.
Here is the Nerf RotoFury, looking all pure and innocent. It was pristine before he got his dirty little hands on it. (Lol.) Take a look at what he did to it after he had some alone time with the blaster:
NERF DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME: PART 3.
That’s right, kiddos. This guy has managed to successfully make a Nerf MEGA Taser Round. Using a high voltage capacitor that he acquired from a disposable camera, he has effectively created a Nerf stun round. (Do I need to call it the “Nerf Don’t Try This At Home Stun Round?”) This dude cuts the tip off of a Mega Dart and inserts the capacitor inside of the dart body. The rest, as they say, is history. He shoots his friend pretty much point blank in the arm to the expected result: Expletives yelled out loud, screams of pain, and lots of laughter. You can tell it really hurts. Guys, this is why Nerf is so against modifying your blasters or darts. Ha! Don’t mix high voltage currents and any kind of Nerf dart. This guy is pretty experienced with this kind of stuff, you might not be so lucky. Here’s what I picture happening when someone else tries to recreate this experiment:
Clearly that didn’t happen to the guys in the video, but it could have (not really) happened. Electrocution, electric shocks, electric burns, etc. This is called Nerf DON’T Try This At Home for a reason. Don’t try this at home. I’m all for a good mod, but this really has no substantial purpose. Outside of a cool experiment video, there is no reason to try this. Hey, at least the victim in this video had the smarts to wear some kind of face protection.

Summation.:
And this is the part where I tell you to look at the official description of the product and then back at the article. To the description, back to the article, back to the description. Now look at the Nerf MEGA RotoFury blaster. A fine pump action Nerf blaster, designed to send foam darts sailing through the air to tag your friends. Not high-powered taser rounds to electrocute your buddies. Remember that. In fact, write that down. Look at the description. It says it sends “whistler darts screaming through the air.” It doesn’t say “have your friends screaming blood curdling screaming through the air.” Haha. So what do you think of this guy, Nerf Nation? Did you enjoy this little video? Let me know how you really feel, down below in the comments section. And remember, this has been another edition of Nerf Don’t Try This at Home! So, you know, don’t try this at home.
