The Nerf Doomlands Persuader blaster is basically a double Doublestrike with much better aesthetic properties. It packs a bunch, but due to its size and its price, it is put into a competing category with the Nerf Hammershot, and that is a battle it just cannot win. If youre looking for something new and different, pick this up. If you dont have a Hammershot, first of all, what are you doing with your life? Second, just buy a Hammershot.

Nerf Doomlands Persuader
Here today, we will be doing a review of the new Nerf Doomlands Persuader blaster! This is a 4-Shot, front-loaded, hammer-action blaster with a Smart AR system. It’s basically like a Double DoubleStrike. I love the Nerf Hammershot, but not the DoubleStrike… So let’s see which hammer blaster this one is like..!
Nerf Doomlands Persuader Aesthetics.:
The Nerf Doomlands Persuader blaster sold me long before I ever actually held it in my own hands. What sold me was a single promotional image. A teaser of a thing totally sold me on this blaster before I really knew too much about it. So mean, so aggressive, so Doomlands, so… so much better than the Nerf Doublestrike! Now this blaster does sort of have some Doublestrike DNA embedded deep within, but it’s so much better looking on the outside. Let’s do a quick rundown on all the external features of the Persuader for the uninitiated. Starting at the barrel, or barrels, in this case, we see four orange inline barrels. Above this is a pretty cool front iron sight that sits just on the edge of the Persuader’s top tactical rail. The tac rail runs almost the entire length of the blaster. Behind the tac rail lies the hammer. Under the hammer is the pistol grip handle. It looks a bit too thin, but it feels comfortable when you hold it in your hands. In front of this is the trigger and under that lies the hand guard/sling attachment point area. In the middle of the blaster, in typical Doomlands fashion, is a clear peek-a-boo window so that you can see the internals doing their thing. Overall, I think the Nerf Doomlands Persuader looks very good. The Doomlands aesthetics continue to stand out in a strikingly powerful way. Excellent.
Nerf Doomlands Persuader Performance.:
Alright, guys, this is the part of the review that will split my readers into two groups. Either you like hammer action blasters or you do not. The Persuader is not going to sway you or change your mind on that front. And that’s really the only deciding factor because the basic performance of this blaster is actually very good. It shoots pretty hard and hits good ranges, just like any other Elite class blaster. The operation of the blaster is as simple as it gets, too. The Persuader operates off of a smart air restrictor system that systematically shoots darts one at a time, going from the top barrel down to the bottom one. It will skip a barrel that doesn’t have a dart inside and it is a marvel of engineering. Yup, we got that. But that doesn’t really affect how you use it at all. All you have to do is front load a few darts, pull the hammer back and then pull the trigger. That’s it. So, this all leads us back to that hammer action. Not all hammer action blasters are the same, though, so just know that the Persuader is more Doublestrike than Hammershot.
Nerf Doomlands Persuader Final Thoughts.:
Here we go, time to give my final thoughts and opinions on the Nerf Doomlands Persuader blaster. Well, my opinion of this blaster is actually mostly good. I absolutely love the aesthetics of this blaster. Hands down, this thing looks awesome. I also love that it has a four shot capacity, and even that it’s hammer action. I even like the sling mount location. It may seem weird at first, that is until you realize that it’s in a perfect spot to hang from your tac vest. And of course, I like the performance. Straight out of the box it has Elite level performance, no mods necessary. Sounds great so far, yeah? Well not so fast! There are a few things I don’t like. The hammer pull is super heavy and requires a lot of force to cock back. The part of the blaster surrounding the hammer is also unnecessarily thick and bulky. The whole blaster seems a bit too wide, but we mostly forgive that because we know it’s wide to hold that stubby little plunger tube. Another thing I’m not too fond of is how the back of the handguard rubs against your fingers if you hold the Persuader the wrong way. This can prove to be a bit uncomfortable. Lastly, and this isn’t really the Persuader’s fault, the Nerf Doomlands Persuader is a Target exclusive in the United States. Since there are Targets pretty much everywhere, and they offer online shopping, this probably isn’t going to be a problem for most people. But I like options! They don’t have much incentive to have sales or drop the price when they are the sole provider of the item. Also, Nerf blasters that are exclusive to a certain retailer have typically died off at a much faster rate than comparable Nerf blasters that were sold everywhere. Just look at every iteration of the Nerf Alpha Trooper, or more recently, the Nerf Elite Longshot. No good. These have been my thoughts on the blaster, hopefully, you can come to your own conclusion as to whether you want to add it to your collection or not. If you need more help deciding, take a look at my YouTube video that I linked up above. That’s it, guys. Thanks for reading and Nerf on! I’ll see you in the next review!
