Well, well, well… what do we have here? The Nerf Modulus ECS 10, that’s what! This blaster, along with a few of its upgrade kits, has appeared on Amazon.co.uk! Available for pre-order with a pre release MSRP of £59.99 (Subject to Change).
Rejoice! The Nerf Modulus ECS 10 Blaster is coming.
If you shop around on Amazon much, you may have noticed something very interesting that was available to pre-order. Very recently, Amazon UK have listed the Nerf Modulus ECS 10 blaster and a few of its upgrade kits! They had a general MSRP, as well as additional pictures and info on this Nerf gun. The MSRP was listed as £59.99 or 60 British Pounds. That is equal to almost 95 US Dollars. Don’t fear, it’s not going to actually be that much here in the United States. Usually with products like this, it will be the same base amount in both places. This means that even though the conversion rates aren’t even, the blaster will retail for the same amount in both countries. So you can expect the Nerf Modulus to be about 60 dollars here in the US as well. It sounds expensive, and maybe it is a little overpriced, but don’t forget: it’s not just the blaster you’re getting here. You’re getting an Elite XD semi-automatic flywheel blaster, comparable to the Nerf Stryfe or the Nerf Demolisher. And, like the Demolisher, it comes with a 10 round banana clip. You’re also getting 5 attachments included with this blaster. You’re getting an extended, dual-rail barrel, which makes room for even more attachments. It also comes with a pretty cool looking shoulder stock, with integrated clip storage. That’s a feature that is reminiscent of the Nerf Recon stock, however the Modulus stock looks to be much more sturdy. There’s also a cool (and comfortable looking) drop down grip. Finally, it includes an optical attachment. The Nerf Modulus ECS 10 comes with a very nice looking precision scope. Another cool thing with the Modulus is that it comes with white Elite darts with orange tips. We’ve never had darts that color before. The Elite Glow Darts, like those that come with the Nerf Rayven are similar, but not exactly the same. So, all things considered, I think the Nerf Modulus ECS 10 may actually be a very good value. Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the pictures that were listed on the Amazon UK product page.:
Now this is the same box art picture we have seen before. Looks very standard and basic for the most part.
Here we have a close up of the extended barrel attachment. It features room for another barrel extension and 2 tactical rail mounts, one up top and one underneath.
Next we take a closer look at the forward hand grip of the Nerf Modulus ECS 10. It looks short and stubby, which should make for an ergonomic feeling grip.
Here we see the Precision Scope about to be attached to the carry handle tactical rail mount. Looking at the front of the scope, you can see that cool cut out reticle design.
This is the shoulder stock being put onto the butt of the Nerf Modulus ECS 10. It looks good, if not a tad bit short. Either way, it looks sturdier than the Recon stock. We’ll see.
Now that the stock is attached, we can insert a spare clip for quicker reloads. That has always been a cool feature to have in a blaster. From the Recon to the Longshot, I’ve always enjoyed having clip storage onboard the blaster. Also of note is the cool cut-out design on the handle and on the trigger itself. Nice.
The Nerf Modulus ECS 10 is almost here!
Well, that just about does it for the Nerf Modulus ECS 10 Blaster. Amazon UK took down the listing after a while, so that’s gone. Here’s the old non working link: Nerf N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster. But, I’m glad it was up while it was. We got to see some new pictures and details. The £59.99/$59.99 MSRP, the tentative June release date, etc, all but confirmed by this posting. With this blaster set to release in just a few weeks (if the leaks are true), the excitement is really building now. I can’t wait. How about you? Let me know how you really feel, down below in the comments section. What says you: Nerf Modulus ECS 10, yea or nay?
