New Star Wars Toys!
Star Wars and Nerf just seem to go together perfectly, don’t they? It’s no coincidence, I’m sure, as Hasbro is in charge of making most Star Wars toys these days. So here we are again discussing upcoming Hasbro made Star Wars toys and I just can’t help but wonder, “are there new Nerf blasters, too?!” And the answer is a resounding “Yes!” Awesome! So check it out as I go over what we know so far about these new Nerf blasters.:
Okay May 4th has come and gone, but the powers that be have decided that you just can’t have too many Star Wars themed days. And luckily, I agree! So bring it on! We’ve had Star Wars Day on May 4th, Revenge of the Sixth on May 6th, and now this upcoming September 18 will be dubbed “Force Friday.” Cool, I can dig it. This Force Friday will be a promotional “holiday” for the upcoming release of the seventh Star Wars film, titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Hasbro is clearly hoping that our wallets will awaken for these new Star Wars toys, too. And, looking at some of these new blasters, I think mine just might be wide awake on September 18th. Let’s take a look at the first blaster.:
Chewbacca Bowcaster
I know, I know — another bow from Hasbow. Err, I mean Hasbro. But you already know their motto: “Bows and jolts, bows and jolts, bows and jolts!” Haha. Anyway, judging from the picture, this will be a stringer blaster. That is, a bow blaster that actually uses the elastic bow string to fire darts. This is how the recent Nerf Crossbolt operates. That’s always cool. Outside of that, I like the integrated stock, the onboard dart storage, and just look at the scope, huh? Very nice. I like the looks of your new Star Wars toy, Chewie!
First Order Stormtrooper Deluxe Blaster
The next of our new Nerf blasters/ Star Wars toys is the First Order Stormtrooper Deluxe Blaster. And just look at it! It’s basically a re-shelled Nerf Rampage with a Star Wars themed paint job! Awesome! Now, I know a lot of people don’t get excited for re-shells, but c’mon, this thing is amazing looking. It looks great. It comes with a stick mag, which looks to fit 10 – 12 darts. It comes with a scope attachment sight, and is that a re-shelled Raider stock?! Too cool! Look at the handrest pump grip area, it’s looks like an angled grip. I wonder if it’s able to fold down, too. This is the best new Nerf blaster out of all the new Star Wars toys, if you ask me. And I will most definitely be picking this one up. Believe it!
First Order Stormtrooper Blaster
Lastly, we have this First Order Stormtrooper blaster. This is a pretty cool looking pistol, I guess. I find it funny that it has almost the same name as the last blaster, even though it’s a completely different blaster and in a totally different category (primary shotgun/rifle to secondary pistol). It looks to be a single-fire blaster with the prime being that black handle in the back, maybe. Then again, it looks like the whole top of the blaster may be able to slide back. That’d be similar to the Nerf Sidestrike. Seems cool, if not basic. But that iron sight attachment up top looks absolutely gorgeous! I think I’ll be picking up this blaster just for that attachment honestly.
New Star Wars Toys Thoughts and Opinions
So what do you guys think of these new Nerf Star Wars toys / blasters? I think they’re pretty cool! They’ll be out in just a few weeks (early September) and they’re going to retail for pretty affordable price points, if what I’m hearing is true. The performance should be on par with other Elite blasters and they come with cool custom colored Elite darts, too. Seems like a win-win-win scenario to me. I’ll be anxiously awaiting the release of these new Nerf blasters. But what about you, Nerf Nation? Are you into these kind of blasters? Do you like Star Wars? Love them? Hate them? Let me know! Drop a line with your thoughts down below in the comments section!
One More Thing…
No words for this. I wouldn’t even know what to say. Please tell me what you think of this, Nerf Nation. That’s it, that’s all the Nerf Star Wars toys I’ve heard about. Thanks for reading!
